HomeHero ("we", "our", or "the app") is a family scheduling app built for parents managing kids' activities. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, what we share, and the rights you have over your data.

The short version: We collect only what we need to run the app — your account info, the events you create, and (if you connect it) your Google Calendar data. We don't sell your data. We don't read your emails. We don't share data with advertisers. Your Google Calendar data stays between you, Google, and HomeHero.

HomeHero's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

HomeHero data is stored on servers in the United States (MongoDB Atlas, Railway). If you are accessing HomeHero from outside the US, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the US.

HomeHero is designed for parents to manage their family's schedule, which may include information about their children. HomeHero is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Children's information added to the app (names, activity participation) is provided by and managed by their parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information directly, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted database storage, OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for Google authentication, and access controls that restrict who can see your data. No system is perfect — we do our best, and we promise to notify you promptly if a breach affects your data.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you continue using HomeHero after a change, you accept the updated policy.
